i like to listen to music.

my favorite people on the internet

i think today i officially became a “runner”. okay, yeah, i’ve been running for a while. i’ve run on and off since high school but never really considered myself a runner since i would take it as torture and spent the whole time telling myself to “just make it to that mailbox” and then i could stop. and that’s how it always goes. except today. i did a run that i did last time i was in boca (i’m in boca, did i mention that?) but last time i did it i stopped and walked a few times, giving myself more landmarks to get to before i slowed down. today was different though. i made it outside my neighborhood, about a mile from my house, and wasn’t even thinking about stopping. i got another mile down, telling myself that it wasn’t that much further that i had to go to get to the stoplight, to the entrance to the next neighborhood, to the next intersection. i even pushed myself to run past my house and around one of the bigger blocks in the neighborhood before running back home for a total of 3.3 miles. i’m starting to think this half marathon thing isn’t going to be so scary after all.
and as if today couldn’t get better, i’ve got tickets to beauty and the beast 3D tonight. happy MLK weekend to me.
